Chemotherapy in the management of periosteal osteosarcoma: A narrative review

چکیده
Periosteal osteosarcoma (PO), an intermediate-grade chondroblastic (OST) arising from the surface of bones, is a rare histological subtype among primary bone sarcomas, most commonly diagnosed in young patients. It characterized by distinct specific radiological and pathological features. The current management strategy based on several case reports series, without any solid international recommendations. Most sarcoma experts agree crucial role optimal complete surgical approach. However, with paucity available reports, systemic treatment its timing remains debatable. With this paper, we will review data actual impact chemotherapy PO patients emphasis radiological, pathological, therapeutic characteristics entity.
